Affiliated with Masters Swimming Australia, an Australia-wide association with over 180 clubs and 8,000 members. Also with FINA World Masters Swimming. The Queensland Branch currently has over 1,500 members in 51 clubs spread throughout the State.
Masters Swimming is open to all swimmers 18 years and over. Many join simply for fitness and friendship, enjoying the camaraderie and motivation of training with others under the guidance of a qualified coach. Others join for the competition available through the many swim meets and open water swims conducted throughout the State, Australia and Overseas.

Stroke correction and training squads at Cotton Tree:

Time: 7.00 - 8.00am Tuesday & Thursdays

Cost: $5.00 plus pool entry

Small Group - Masters members and non members. All strokes.

Club Swimming: Sunday 9.00am (Summer) 10.00am (Winter) 

On Sundays we do our Longer Swims (400m and up to 1 hour - timed for club points) – very good for aerobic fitness. Or you can simply ‘do your own thing’ and have a chat.

(And around 25 Annual Club Meets in Qld - Cost usually around $20 - $25) Swimmers compete in 5 year age groups (e.g.18-24,25-29etc up to 95-99) Male and Female.

Social: There is a big social element to all these Carnivals (meets) as well as in the training sessions, you will make new friends, catch up with old ones and develop friendly rivalries! There is usually a meal or BBQ afterwards. Also the Club organises various social events throughout the year – at the pool and away from it. 

Annual Registration Fees for 2009: (includes World, National, State and Club affiliation, Insurance, Club, State and National Newsletters and use of Club equipment.)
