Marie Hasemann: Assistant Coach

Marie is a highly motivated coach with 8 years experience. She has worked alongside National Coach, Ken Wood for 4 years. During those 4 years she has worked closely with Australian Representative swimmers, Leisel Jones, Jessicah Schipper, Melissa Gorman, Geoff Huegill and up and coming middle distance swimmer Kylie Palmer.

Squad focus:

As Assistant coach Marie works closely with Michael Sage across all areas of our squads, from the Mini squad right through to the Senior Squad. Her main focus is the mini squad where the emphasis is on:
- Stroke Correction
- Fundamental swimming techniques
- Importance of stretching
- Learning about core body strength & its importance
- Programming for the young competitive swimmer
- The importance of good nutrition
- What it means to be a part of a squad
- Overall enjoyment of swimming
